Regular Season Round 12: Tindastoll - Njardvik 76-69

The most important game in the last round took place in Sauoarkrokur between second rankedNjardvik (8-4) and fifth ranked Tindastoll Njardvik was defeated by Tindastoll in a tough game on the road 69-76 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Njardvik. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 25-16 . But Njardvik won second period 19-15 . However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Tindastoll won last quarter 21-15 . It was a good game for American-Syrian guard Randi Brown (173-1996, college: New Orleans) who led her team to a victory with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Senegalese power forward Oumoul Sarr (190-1984) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Danish power forward Emilie Hesseldal (185-1990, college: Colorado St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and Cambodian point guard Brittany Dinkins (170-1994) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Njardvik. Four Njardvik players scored in double figures. Njardvik's coach Einar Johannsson rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tindastoll have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Njardvik .
