Regular Season Round 12: Hamar - Armann 100-89

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Hamar. Second rankedHamar faced their close opponent Armann . Host Hamar (10-3) defeated guests from Reykjavik (10-3) 100-89 . It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Hamar. Armann was better in third quarter 20-17 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hamar players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Armann 's players. It was a good game for Spanish point guard Jose Medina (185-1993) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 13 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Greek Fotios Lampropoulos (206-1983, agency: Interperformances) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Hamar's coach Halldor Thorsson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Danish guard Adama Darboe (190-1986) replied with 19 points and 6 assists and American forward Jaxson Baker (203, college: UNH) added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Armann. Five Armann players scored in double figures. Hamar have an impressive six-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Armann lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position which they share with defeated Armann .
