An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sauoarkrokur. Second rankedTindastoll faced 4th placed Grindavik . Host Tindastoll (11-4) defeated guests from Grindavik (8-7) 97-79 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Grindavik. The game was mostly controlled by Tindastoll. Grindavik was better in second period 19-17 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tindastoll made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Grindavik turnovers. Tindastoll players were unselfish on offense dishing 42 assists. Grindavik was plagued by 38 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American point guard Dedrick Basile (178-1994, college: CSUB) who led his team to a victory with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Lithuanian center Adomas Drungilas (207-1990) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Tindastoll players scored in double figures. Hungarian-American swingman DeAndre Kane (195-1989, college: Iowa St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and forward Kristofer Gylfason (192-1997) added 14 points in the effort for Grindavik. Tindastoll maintains second place with 11-4 record behind leader Stjarnan. Grindavik at the other side keeps the fourth position with seven games lost.
