The game in Akureyri was also worth to mention about. Third rankedIA (11-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Thor (6-7). IA defeated Thor 100-86 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Thor AK. The game was mostly controlled by IA. Thor was better in fourth quarter 26-17 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. IA made 23-of-29 charity shots (79.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Thor turnovers and outrebounded them 50-38 including 16 on the offensive glass. IA players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Brazilian forward Victor Bafutto (208-1998, college: ULM) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and Kristofer Gislason (194-1996) supported him with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Four IA players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Tim Dalger (201, college: St.Louis) did not help to save the game for Thor . Guard Reynir Robertsson (186-2004) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. IA have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Thor at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost.
