Regular Season Round 16: Haukar - Grindavik 88-80

Subway League top team -Haukar (13-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat ninth ranked Grindavik (4-12) in Hafnarfjordur 88-80 . After very bad start, Grindavik stormed back in the second period cutting the deficit to 3 points 39-36 . But it was not enough and Haukar took back the control in second half. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by Belgian forward Lore Devos (185-1999, college: Colorado St., agency: LBM Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and American guard Diamond Battles (173-2000, college: Georgia) supported her with 17 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 22 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists by American guard Daisha Bradford (173-2000, college: ULM) did not help to save the game for Grindavik . The former international forward Isabella Sigurdardottir (187-1997) added 20 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Haukar maintains first position with 13-3 record. Grindavik at the other side keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost.
