No shocking result in a game in Akureyri where seventh rankedThor (7-7) defeated 9th ranked KFG (5-10) 112-94 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Thor. KFG managed to win third quarter 27-21 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Thor made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for guard Reynir Robertsson (186-2004) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Tim Dalger (201, college: St.Louis) helped adding 31 points and 11 rebounds. Four Thor AK players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard DeAngelo Epps (196-2000, college: Catawba, agency: Interperformances) with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kristjan Ingolfsson (191-2005) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Thor moved-up to fifth place. KFG lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. They share it with Snaefell.
