Fifth rankedValur (9-8) crushed at home 11th ranked Hottur (4-13) by 34 points 92-58 , which is the biggest margin this round. It looked good early as Hottur took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Valur had a 33-15 second period charge getting the lead and Hottur was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 58-92. Valur players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Hottur 's players. The former international swingman Kristinn Palsson (198-1997, college: Marist, agency: SLN) nailed 22 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winning side and the former international forward Hjalmar Stefansson (200-1996) accounted for 13 points and 9 rebounds. Five Valur players scored in double figures. Danish forward Gustav Suhr-Jessen (201-1998, college: St.Anselm) came up with 9 points and 6 rebounds and Spanish forward David Guardia (200-1990) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Hottur in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Valur have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Grindavik. Hottur lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. They share it with Haukar.
