Second Stage Round 2: Hamar - Tindastoll 77-72

We should mention about the upset which took place in Hamar, whereTindastoll lost to Hamar in a road game 72-77 . Hamar made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Tindastoll turnovers. Tindastoll was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Abby Beeman (163-2001, college: Marshall) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals. The former international forward Anna Larusdottir (174-1999) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Hamar's coach Hakon Hjartarson allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Latvian guard Ilze Jakobsone (168-1994) replied with 21 points and 9 assists and Polish forward Edyta Falenczyk (180-1993) added 22 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) in the effort for Tindastoll. Hamar will play against Stjarnan on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tindastoll will play against Athena in Reykjavík and hopes to get back on the winning track.
