Rather predictable result when ninth rankedKR (9-10) rolled over bottom-ranked Hottur (4-15) in Reykjavik 97-75 on Saturday. Hottur was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 37-14 charge of KR, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Hottur 's 24 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for Latvian Linards Jaunzems (200-1995) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Thorir Thorbjarnarson (198-1998, college: Nebraska) accounted for 16 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Four KR players scored in double figures. Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Knezevic (205-1987) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and American-Hungarian point guard Obie Trotter (192-1984, college: AAMU) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Hottur in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KR moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Thor Thorl. Hottur lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 15 games lost. They share it with Haukar.
