No shocking result in a game whenHaukar (3-0) crushed Fylkir (0-3) in Hafnarfjordur 123-85 on Friday. The game without a history. Haukar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Fylkir 's 38 and made 26-of-34 free shots (76.5 percent) during the game. Haukar forced 20 Fylkir turnovers and outrebounded them 52-32 including 20 on the offensive glass. Haukar looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Haukar made 8 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for who led the winners and scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. accounted for 30 points (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Spanish forward David Guardia (200-1990) came up with 19 points and Irish forward Sean McCarthy (198-2002, college: St.Anselm) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Fylkir in the defeat. Five Haukar and four Fylkir players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
