Rather predictable result in Hafnarfjordur where sixth rankedHaukar (3-2) smashed bottom-ranked Hamar (0-5) 103-77 on Wednesday. Haukar forced 22 Hamar turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was French guard Amandine Toi (178-1998, college: Virginia) who scored 34 points (!!!). chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Haukar players scored in double figures. American guard Jada Guinn (173-2000, college: Chattanooga) produced 37 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 16-of-21 shooting from the field) and Danish forward Ellen Iversen (180-1997) added 10 points and 16 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Keflavik. Hamar at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost.
