This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to third ranked Fjolnir (5-1) 107-89 on Friday evening. The game without a history. Fjolnir led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Fylkir 's 24. Fjolnir forced 20 Fylkir turnovers and outrebounded them 51-35 including a 21-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Fjolnir looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Fylkir 's players. Forward Sigvaldi Eggertsson (201-2000) notched a double-double by scoring 30 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and William Thompson supported him with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Even 27 points by did not help to save the game for Fylkir . Jason Ragnarsson added 21 points and 5 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fjolnir have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 5-1 record behind leader Haukar, which they share with Hottur. Loser Fylkir still closes the standings with six games lost.
