Regular Season Round 12: Tindastoll - Njardvik 99-91

The biggest surprise took place in Sauoarkrokur where hostTindastoll (4-8) beat league's leader Njardvik (9-3) 99-91 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Njardvik. Tindastoll looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Njardvik helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was Spanish guard Marta Hermida (180-1997, college: Boise St.) who had a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals. American forward Maddie Sutton (180-1998, college: Tusculum) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was who recorded a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 9 assists and international guard Danielle Rodriguez (177-1993, college: Utah) added 29 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tindastoll maintains eighth position with 4-8 record. Njardvik at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by KR who have the same record.
