A very close game took place in Reykjavik betweenIR and Keflavik . Eighth ranked IR (5-7) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Keflavik (8-4). IR managed to escape with a 3-point win 89-86 on Sunday evening. IR made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The winners were led by Greek forward Dimitrios Klonaras (198-2001, college: CS East Bay, agency: Starting 5) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and Tsotne Tsartsidze supported him with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 22 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists by Bosnian Mirza Bulic (207-1992) did not help to save the game for Keflavik . The former international guard Hilmar Petursson (190-2000, agency: Blacktop Management) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Five Keflavik players scored in double figures. IR moved-up to sixth place, which they share with KR and Alftanes. Loser Keflavik keeps the fourth position with four games lost.
