There was no surprise when 10th rankedHamar (1-14) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Stjarnan (7-8) 87-75 on Tuesday. Stjarnan made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Stjarnan outrebounded Hamar 51-28 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for international point guard Eva Eliasdottir (169-2004) who led her team to a victory scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). International guard Dilja Larusdottir (172-2003) helped adding 26 points. Stjarnan's coach Olafur Sigurdsson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Jada Guinn (173-2000, college: Chattanooga) with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists and Argentinian forward Ana Paz (180-1997) scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Stjarnan maintains seventh place with 7-8 record. Hamar lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost.
