Rather predictable result in Reykjavik where eighth rankedIR (7-9) smashed 10th ranked Armann (4-12) 109-74 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by IR. Armann managed to win second period 19-15 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. IR looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Armann 's players. Greek forward Dimitrios Klonaras (198-2001, college: CS East Bay, agency: Starting 5) fired 27 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Hakon Hjalmarsson (190-1999, college: Binghamton) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. Five IR players scored in double figures. Guard Bragi Gudmundsson (196-2003, college: Campbell, agency: One Motive Sports) produced 26 points and 6 rebounds and American-Swedish guard Daniel Love (190-1999, college: Eckerd) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. IR moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Alftanes. Newly promoted Armann keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Thor Thorl.
