Very expected game in Reykjavik where 11th rankedFylkir (2-15) was rolled over by fifth ranked Fjolnir (11-6) 103-76 on Friday. The game without a history. Fjolnir led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Fylkir 's 32. They outrebounded Fylkir 63-26 including a 44-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fjolnir looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Fylkir 's players. Forward Sigvaldi Eggertsson (201-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners and American-Barbados power forward William Thompson (205-1993, college: Felician) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. Four Fjolnir players scored in double figures. Forward Thorarinn Oskarsson (203-2000) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Max Kunnert (193, college: UIS) scored 21 points and 5 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fjolnir maintains fifth place with 11-6 record. Loser Fylkir keeps the eleventh position with 15 games lost. They share it with Hamar.
