The most crucial game of the last round was a loss ofHaukar (12-6) in Hafnarfjordur on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by Njardvik (13-5) 96-87 . It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Haukar. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Haukar 46-29 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Cambodian point guard Brittany Dinkins (170-1994) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 8 assists. International guard Danielle Rodriguez (177-1993, college: Utah) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Njardvik players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Tinna Alexandersdottir (177-2003) who recorded 25 points and French center Catherine Mosengo-Masa (192-1996) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Haukar's coach Emil Barja rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Njardvik keeps a position of league leader. Defending champion Haukar dropped to the second place with six games lost. They share the position with KR and Valur.
