Subway League top team -Haukar (15-6) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Grindavik (12-10) in Hafnarfjordur 103-81 . Haukar forced 23 Grindavik turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of French guard Amandine Toi (178-1998, college: Virginia, agency: DC Sports) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 4 assists and international guard Tinna Alexandersdottir (177-2003) who added 25 points and 4 assists during the contest. Haukar's coach Emil Barja felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side the former international forward Isabella Sigurdardottir (187-1997) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds and American point guard Abby Beeman (163-2001, college: Marshall) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 assists. Four Haukar and five Grindavik players scored in double figures. Haukar have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 15-6 record. Grindavik at the other side keeps the fifth place with ten games lost.
