Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Reykjavik:IR (#7) and Valur (#4). Valur was defeated at home 82-93 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. IR players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Greek forward Dimitrios Klonaras (198-2001, college: CS East Bay, agency: Starting 5) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Slovenian swingman Matej Kavas (201-1996, college: Nebraska) supported him with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Five IR players scored in double figures. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) by American Keyshawn Woods (192-1996, college: Ohio St.) did not help to save the game for Valur . Serbian Lazar Nikolic (201-1999, college: Colorado) added 9 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. IR have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 11-11 record. Valur at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost.
