Rather expected game in Tel Aviv where 5th rankedRamat Gan (4-2) was defeated by third ranked Maccabi Tel-Aviv (6-1) 94-87 on Saturday. M.Tel-Aviv looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian-South Sudanese Marial Shayok (196-1995, college: Iowa St., agency: Diamond Sports) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 4 steals and Lithuanian point guard Rokas Jokubaitis (193-2000) who added 13 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Maccabi Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. American forward Amin Stevens (203-1990, college: FAMU) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Roi Huber (188-1997) scored 20 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Defending champion maintains third position with 6-1 record behind leader H.Tel-Aviv. Loser Ramat Gan keeps the fifth place with two games lost. M.Tel-Aviv's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tel Aviv H.Tel-Aviv.
