We should mention about the upset which took place in Afula, where 4th placedBnei Hertzeliya (8-3) lost to ninth ranked Afula (5-6) in a road game 97-111 on Monday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Bnei Hertzeliya. H.Afula made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Justyn Mutts (201-1999, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward JP Tokoto (201-1993, college: UNC) helped adding 26 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Gabonese Chris Silva (206-1996, college: S.Carolina) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Xavier Sneed (196-1997, college: Kansas St.) scored 19 points and 4 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. H.Afula moved-up to seventh place, which they share with H.Galil Elion. Loser Bnei Hertzeliya keeps the fourth position with three games lost.
