D1 top team -M.Ashdod (12-1) added another victory to their record on Monday. This time they beat eighth ranked H.Petah Tikva (3-10) 88-82 . M.Ashdod looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Belarusian forward Kseniya Malashka (183-2000, college: MTSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American guard Abby Meyers (183-1999, college: Maryland) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Five M.Ashdod players scored in double figures. American center Sasha Goodlett (195-1990, college: Georgia Tech, agency: LBM Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Feyonda Fitzgerald (170-1995, college: Temple) added 22 points and 12 assists in the effort for H.Petah Tikva. H.Petah Tikva's coach Gilad Katz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. M.Ashdod maintains first place with 12-1 record. H.Petah Tikva lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Hapoel K/S.
