National League top team - M.Raanana (13-1) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they beat fifth ranked E.Ashkelon (8-6) 75-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of E.Ashkelon. M.Raanana made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game, while E.Ashkelon only scored five points from the stripe. M.Raanana forced 23 E.Ashkelon turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American Tyler Wideman (203-1995, college: Butler) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import Jimmy Hall (203-1994, college: Kent St.) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Even 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists by guard Daniel Najar (193-2001) did not help to save the game for E.Ashkelon. Naturalized Hungarian swingman Amit Suss (201-1999) added 6 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. M.Raanana have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. E.Ashkelon at the other side dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. M.Raanana will meet at home M.Rehovot (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. E.Ashkelon will play against M.Rishon in Rishon Le-Zion and hope to secure a win.
