Rather predictable result when seventh rankedE.Holon (6-8) smashed at home bottom-ranked M.Ramat Gan (2-12) 96-72 on Monday. E.Holon outrebounded M.Ramat Gan 41-28 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Khari Clark (188-2001, college: Stony Brook) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import guard Ashley Owusu (183-2001, college: Penn State) chipped in 26 points and 5 assists. Anguillan-British power forward Mikiah Herbert-Harrigan (188-1998, college: S.Carolina) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and American center Akela Maize (196-1996, college: NC State) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. M.Ramat Gan's coach Roee Lazare gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. E.Holon moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Ramat Hasharon and M.Haifa. M.Ramat Gan lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. E.Holon will meet H.Petah Tikva (#8) on the road in the next round. M.Ramat Gan will play against Hapoel K/S and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
