There was a small surprise in Nazareth where tenth rankedH.Izrael (14-17) defeated 8th ranked H.Safed Galil (15-16) 110-93 on Tuesday. H.Izrael looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American forward Brandon Edwards (201-1991, college: UT Arlington) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import Kevin Bracy-Davis (202-1995, college: Davis & Elkins, agency: Slash Sports) chipped in 25 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five H.Izrael players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Daniel Koperberg (208-1997) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American guard Dachon Burke (193-1997, college: USA) scored 29 points and 7 rebounds. H.Safed Galil's coach Mickey Gorka rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Newly promoted H.Izrael maintains tenth place with 14-17 record. Loser H.Safed Galil dropped to the ninth position with 16 games lost.
