Hapoel Tel-Aviv used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Kiryat Ata 97-82 on Sunday night. The game without a history. H.Tel-Aviv led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Hapoel Tel-Aviv made 28-of-33 free shots (84.8 percent) during the game, while Kiryat Ata only scored eight points from the stripe. Canadian point guard Tyler Ennis (188-1994, college: Syracuse) nailed 18 points and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international guard Yiftah Ziv (191-1995) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Five Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. American forward Malik Hall (203-2000, college: Michigan St.) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import swingman Jamiya Neal (196-2003, college: Creighton) added 11 points respectively for Kiryat Ata in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. H.Tel-Aviv will meet M.Rishon in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Kiryat Ata will play against H.Galil Elion and hope to win that game.
