There was a minor upset when 8th rankedIroni Nes-Ziona (3-5) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Ramat Gan (3-5) 100-83 . The winners were led by American point guard Ronaldo Segu (183-1999, college: Buffalo) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 assists and the former international Adam Ariel (193-1994) supported him with 27 points. Ramat Gan's coach Shmuel Brenner allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 14 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals by U.S. Virgin Islands Desi Rodriguez (197-1996, college: Seton Hall) did not help to save the game for I.Ness Ziona . American guard Isaiah Whitehead (192-1995, college: Seton Hall) added 13 points for the guests. Five M.Ramat Gan and four I.Ness Ziona players scored in double figures. M.Ramat Gan moved-up to eighth place, which they share with H.Be'er Sheva and I.Ness Ziona.
