There was no surprise when 10th rankedM.Kiryat Gat (5-7) was defeated at home by second ranked M.Rehovot (10-1) 101-85 on Tuesday. M.Rehovot looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Amit Aharoni (185-2002) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 14 assists. Guard Amit Menachem (184-2004) chipped in 21 points and 4 steals. M.Rehovot's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized American guard Clarke Rosenberg (193-1993, college: Chicago St.) who recorded 31 points and naturalized British guard Daniel Najar (193-2001) added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. M.Rehovot have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with H.Eilat. Loser M.Kiryat Gat keeps the tenth place with seven games lost.
