Regular Season Round 12: Otef Darom - M.Haifa 75-101

M.Haifa has finally registered their first victory this season after 11 consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they outplayed much higher ranked Otef Darom (7-4) on the road game in 101-75 . M.Haifa made 28-of-34 charity shots (82.4 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Otef Darom 's players. The winners were led by American guard Jase Townsend (193-2000, college: San Diego) who scored that evening 40 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Josh Price (205-1996, college: S.Indiana) supported him with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Even 17 points by South African guard Samkelo Cele (194-1997, college: USAO) did not help to save the game for Otef Darom . American forward Kyndahl Hill (201-1994, college: Weber St.) added 6 points and 12 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. M.Haifa (1-11) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place, which they share with H.Safed Galil. Otef Darom at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Ashkelon.
