Winner League top team -Hapoel Tel-Aviv (9-0) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Bnei Hertzeliya (5-4) in Hod Hasharon 94-86 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Bnei Hertzeliya. Bnei Hertzeliya trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 27-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 86-94 at the end of the game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Bnei Hertzeliya turnovers. Hapoel Tel-Aviv looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Yam Madar (190-2000) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 assists and 5 steals. Puerto Rican-American center Tai Odiase (206-1995, college: UIC) contributed with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's coach Dimitris Itoudis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian-American center Chinanu Onuaku (207-1996, college: Louisville) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds and American guard Elijah Stewart (196-1995, college: USC) added 17 points and 6 assists in the effort for Bnei Hertzeliya. Five Hapoel Tel-Aviv and four Bnei Hertzeliya players scored in double figures. H.Tel-Aviv have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-0 record. Bnei Hertzeliya at the other side keeps the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with H.Jerusalem.
