There was a minor upset when 8th rankedE.Shomron (6-6) was edged at home by eleventh ranked M.Ma'ale Adum. (5-7) 72-71 on Saturday. Strangely E.Shomron outrebounded M.Ma'ale Adum. 45-33 including 30 on the defensive glass. American forward Christian Jones (201-1993, college: UNLV, agency: BIG) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Itay Karabayov chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-1991, college: Akron) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import swingman Vince Cole (198-1998, college: Coastal) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks. E.Shomron's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for M.Ma'ale Adum. . They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with M.Kiryat Gat. Loser E.Shomron dropped to the ninth position with six games lost.
