UndefeatedHapoel Tel-Aviv (10-1) recorded its first loss in Tel Aviv. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (8-4) 92-77 . It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Hapoel Tel-Aviv. It looked good early as H.Tel-Aviv took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hapoel Jerusalem had a 22-16 second period charge getting the lead and H.Tel-Aviv was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-92. Hapoel Jerusalem made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for international Khadeen Carrington (193-1995, college: Seton Hall) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Jared Harper (178-1997, college: Auburn) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winners. Four Hapoel Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Hapoel Jerusalem's coach Yonatan Alon allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American center Daniel Oturu (208-1999, college: Minnesota) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import Elijah Bryant (196-1995, college: BYU, agency: Pensack Sports) added 12 points in the effort for Hapoel Tel-Aviv. H.Jerusalem have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bnei Hertzeliya. H.Tel-Aviv at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost.
