Regular Season Round 12: M.Raanana - M.Ramat Gan 70-85

There was no surprise when 12th rankedM.Raanana (2-10) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Ramat Gan (5-7) 85-70 on Monday. M.Ramat Gan made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Adam Ariel (193-1994) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds and Jamaican-American forward Joirdon Nicholas (206-1999, college: Texas Southern) who added 14 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Five Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Nate Laszewski (208-1999, college: Notre Dame) with 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182-1989, college: Wichita St.) scored 16 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. M.Ramat Gan moved-up to eighth place, which they share with M.Rishon and H.Be'er Sheva. M.Raanana lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with ten games lost. M.Ramat Gan will meet at home league's second-placed H.Tel-Aviv in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. M.Raanana will play against M.Rishon (#10) and hope to secure a win.
