No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Hapoel Beer Sheva (6-7) beat bottom-ranked Galil Elion (2-11) in Kfar Blum 77-70 on Thursday. American forward Brandon Angel (204-2001, college: Oregon) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winning side and his fellow American import guard Damian Dunn (196-2001, college: Pittsburgh) accounted for 17 points and 5 rebounds. Shahar Amir (186-1999) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Raz Adam (193-1999) added 14 points and 4 steals respectively for H.Galil Elion in the defeat. Four H.Galil Elion players scored in double figures. H.Be'er Sheva moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kiryat Ata. H.Galil Elion lost ninth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 11 games lost. They share it with E.Netanya. H.Be'er Sheva will meet at home higher ranked H.Gilboa Galil (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. H.Galil Elion will play against I.Ness Ziona (#11) in Nes Ziyona and hope to secure a win.
