There was an upset when higher rankedAshkelon (9-6) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked E.Yavne (6-9) 85-78 on Friday. The best player for the winners was American guard Antonio Daye Jr. (185-2000, college: Coastal) who scored 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Power forward Yariv Amiram (204-1994, agency: BIG) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Ron Cohen (191-2002) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and American Tyler Wideman (203-1995, college: Butler) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Four Ashkelon players scored in double figures. E.Yavne moved-up to tenth place, which they share with M.Petah Tikva and H.Migdal. Loser Ashkelon keeps the fifth position with six games lost.
