Very predictable result in Hod Hasharon where fourth ranked Bnei Hertzeliya (10-4) defeated 12th ranked M.Raanana (3-11) 89-79 on Monday. Bnei Hertzeliya looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American center Chinanu Onuaku (207-1996, college: Louisville) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international point guard Max Heidegger (191-1997, college: UCSB) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American-Liberian point guard Joe Ragland (182-1989, college: Wichita St.) produced 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and American forward Nate Laszewski (208-1999, college: Notre Dame) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. M.Raanana's coach Shai Segalovich rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bnei Hertzeliya have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with H.Gilboa Galil. Newly promoted M.Raanana keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Bnei Hertzeliya will meet at home M.Rishon (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. M.Raanana will play against H.Gilboa Galil and hope to secure a win.
