There was a small surprise when ninth rankedH.Petah Tikva (8-10) beat on the road 6th ranked M.Karmiel (8-10) 68-62 on Thursday. H.Petah Tikva made 18-of-18 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. H.Petah Tikva had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Sparkle Taylor (178-1995, college: UTEP) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (went 13 for 13 at the free throw line !!!). Healy Oz (-2007) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was British-Lithuanian Gabby Nikitinaite (180-1998, college: SIUE) who recorded 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Chelsea Mitchell (175-1997, college: Morgan St.) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. H.Petah Tikva moved-up to sixth place, which they share with M.Karmiel and H.Jerusalem.
