There was a small surprise whenM.Karmiel smashed at home H.Be'er Sheva 99-74 on Monday. M.Karmiel outrebounded H.Be'er Sheva 48-31 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. M.Karmiel looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and British-Lithuanian Gabby Nikitinaite (180-1998, college: SIUE) chipped in 27 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four M.Karmiel players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Evina Westbrook (183-1998, college: UConn) responded with 32 points and 6 rebounds and Ukrainian power forward Tetiana Yurkevichus (187-1995) scored 6 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
