Second Stage Round 2: H.Jerusalem - M.Karmiel 71-67

There was a minor upset when M.Karmiel lost on the road to H.Jerusalem 71-67 on Thursday. H.Jerusalem looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. British forward Savannah Wilkinson (183-1998, college: SMU) notched 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (194-1989) supported her with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four H.Jerusalem players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) did not help to save the game for M.Karmiel. Her fellow American import guard Chelsea Mitchell (175-1997, college: Morgan St.) added 22 points for the guests. H.Jerusalem will meet M.Haifa on the road in the next round. M.Karmiel will play against H.Be'er Sheva and hope to secure a win.
