There was no surprise when 10th rankedH.Be'er Sheva (1-21) was crushed at home by seventh ranked M.Haifa (12-11) 90-64 on Monday. M.Haifa dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to H.Be'er Sheva 's 22. M.Haifa forced 24 H.Be'er Sheva turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Shyanne Sellers (188-2003, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 8 assists and the other American import guard Lasha Petree (183, college: Purdue, agency: DITR) who added 20 points and 4 steals during the contest. Five M.Haifa players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Evina Westbrook (183-1998, college: UConn) responded with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Ukrainian power forward Tetiana Yurkevichus (187-1995) scored 9 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. M.Haifa have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 12-11 record. H.Be'er Sheva lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 21 lost games.
