No shocking result in a game when fifth rankedAshkelon (15-8) beat at home 9th ranked E.Shomron (10-13) 77-68 . Ashkelon outrebounded E.Shomron 48-37 including 34 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for point guard Ido Shabat (182-1999) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Naturalized Polish center Ido Flaisher (208-1998, college: Hawaii) helped adding 10 points and 15 rebounds. Five Ashkelon players scored in double figures. Power forward Jonatan Mor (204-1995) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and American swingman Vince Cole (198-1998, college: Coastal) scored 24 points (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Ashkelon maintains fifth place with 15-8 record. E.Shomron at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Otef Darom.
