There was a surprise result when eleventh rankedM.Petah Tikva (10-18) won against at home higher ranked E.Shomron (13-15) 89-81 on Friday. M.Petah Tikva made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Brandon Tabb (193-1995, college: BCU) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 6 assists and naturalized Polish guard Gal Gilinski (195-1995) who added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists during the contest. Tabb is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four M.Petah Tikva players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Vince Cole (198-1998, college: Coastal) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-1991, college: Akron) scored 8 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. M.Petah Tikva maintains eleventh position with 10-18 record. E.Shomron at the other side keeps the seventh place with 15 games lost.
