Very expected game when 10th rankedKiryat Ata (6-13) lost at home to second ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (18-3) 95-81 on Friday. H.Tel-Aviv looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Kiryat Ata 's players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Yam Madar (190-2000) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Puerto Rican-American center Tai Odiase (206-1995, college: UIC) accounted for 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Eric Gaines (188-2001, college: UAB) came up with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Wes Iwundu (198-1994, college: Kansas St.) added 11 points respectively for Kiryat Ata in the defeat. Five H.Tel-Aviv and four Kiryat Ata players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. H.Tel-Aviv keeps a position of league leader. Kiryat Ata lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 13 games lost.
