Very expected game in Rishon Le-Zion where 12th rankedGalil Elion (6-19) was defeated by seventh ranked M.Rishon (11-14) 79-75 on Wednesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. M.Rishon dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Galil Elion 's 34. M.Rishon outrebounded H.Galil Elyon 42-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. M.Rishon looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward DJ Burns (201-2001, college: YSU, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import forward Amin Stevens (203-1990, college: FAMU) who added 15 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Burns is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five M.Rishon players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Shahar Amir (186-1999) with 27 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and American forward DJ Kennedy (198-1989, college: St.John's) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Newly promoted M.Rishon maintains seventh position with 11-14 record. H.Galil Elyon lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with M.Raanana and E.Netanya.
