Not a big story in a game in Rishon Le-Zion where 14th rankedM.Raanana (6-20) was defeated by seventh ranked M.Rishon (12-14) 93-78 on Saturday. M.Rishon shot 24 for 34 from the free-throw line, while M.Raanana only scored seven points from the stripe. They outrebounded M.Raanana 35-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. M.Rishon looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Chaunce Jenkins (193, college: Seton Hall) who scored 16 points and 5 assists. Naturalized American forward Josh Freund (204-1997, college: Roanoke) chipped in 20 points and 4 steals. American point guard Matt Coleman III (188-1998, college: Texas) produced 19 points and 8 assists and his fellow American import center JaCorey Williams (203-1994, college: MTSU) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Four M.Rishon and five M.Raanana players scored in double figures. M.Raanana's coach Shai Segalovich rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted M.Rishon maintains seventh position with 12-14 record. M.Raanana at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom place with 20 games lost.
