No shocking result in a game when ninth rankedOmegna (6-2) defeated at home 20th ranked Saronno (1-7) 86-81 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Strangely Saronno outrebounded Omegna 50-37 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Francesco Paolin (190-1995) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 assists and Saverio Mazzantini (195-1995, agency: Players Group) who added 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Giacomo Maspero (204-1992) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and forward Andrea Quinti (200-2001) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Four Omegna and five Saronno players scored in double figures. Omegna have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 6 other teams. Saronno lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighteenth position with seven games lost. They share it with 3 other teams.
