Regular Season Round 10: Broni - Salerno 79-62

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Salerno (4-6) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Broni (4-6) 79-62 on Sunday. Francesca Russo (178-1996) fired 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Center Meriem Nasraoui (184-2002) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Abiodun Yusuf (183-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Federica Orchi (176-1997) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Broni moved-up to eighth place, which they share with San Salvatore and Salerno. Broni will meet at home higher ranked Costa Masnaga (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Salerno will play against Torino (#13) and hope to secure a win.
