There was an upset when higher rankedSalerno (6-12) lost on the road to nineteenth ranked Cassino (5-13) 88-71 on Saturday. Guard Michael Teghini (192-1992) notched 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Alessandro Riva (205-1998) supported him with 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Cassino players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks by power forward Ferdinando Matrone (208-1995, agency: SLN) did not help to save the game for Salerno . Naturalized Argentinian guard Luca Chaves (-1994) added 21 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cassino moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Salerno dropped to the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Ravenna.
