Regular Season Round 20: Jesi - Salerno 76-78

There was an upset when higher ranked Jesi (11-9) was edged at home by fifteenth ranked Salerno (8-12) 78-76 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Montenegrin Lazar Kekovic (204-1999) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian guard Luca Chaves (-1994) who added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Five Salerno players scored in double figures. Argentinian power forward Lautaro Berra (208-1998) responded with 32 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Antonio Valentini (187-1999) scored 9 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Salerno moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Sant Antimo and Piombino. Loser Jesi dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Salerno will meet at home higher ranked Caserta Pap. (#9) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jesi will play against Chieti and hope to secure a win.
